Lab work that comes to you!
Bruen Medical Partners is working to launch a national service to provide certified medical examiners at brick and mortar partner locations and truck stops to provide DOT-certified physical exams to CDL drivers. There are 1.8 million CDL drivers in the U.S. and more than 7,000 truck stops on U.S. highways.
Our company plans to partner with mobile specimen collectors with brick and mortar locations across the country in the next six months and 1,500 locations in the next 18-24 months through 300 providers. Our firm is hiring on a PRN basis board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for the start-up venture. Our firm plans a second phase that will include urgent care and occupational clinics to service truckers as well as truck stop personnel.
Bruen Medical Partners was founded by Elizabeth Bruen - President & CEO - Director of Allied Health and Training Services board-certified internist and FMCSA certified medical examiner. We are working with our partners in the mobile phlebotomy specimen collection space whom have brick and mortar locations and have completed DOT Specimen Collector Training: Regulations Plus Mock Collections and truckstop owners across the U.S. for DOT physicals to be performed.
Bruen Medical Partners is enlisting the help of industry professionals and regional coordinators and will arrange the physicals through DOT specific software on iPads. Local doctors, nurse practitioners, and chiropractors will be sub-contracted to work part-time or full-time for the venture. Medical examiners must take a federal exam in order to be certified to perform DOT physicals. The average medical examiner will be able to accomplish 30 physicals per day with the help of two assistants and all CDL drivers with medical issues will be referred to their primary care physicians or other providers in the area.
All healthcare professionals are eligible to apply to become a certified medical examiner if their scope of practice authorizes them to perform physical examinations, as defined by the state in which they practice.
